Im having trouble fitting my childs car seat into my fiat stilo even halfords couldnt fit it. Just bought another seat and cant fit that either the seatbelts seen to slack and the seat isnt tightly fitted.
Wondered if anyone else has had this problem and would be gratfull for any advice

my booster seat moves all over the shop cos of the leather seats, where as group 0+ was fine. dont be tempted to put towels etc under the seat.

look for isofix on the car seat its supposed to be a standard and stilo has isofix if i remember right.

This is a group one car seat and its as though the seatbelts aren't tightening enough so the seat moves around if you shake it

Mine is a five door with reclineable back seats
have tried with seats slide forwards, backwards reclined and un-reclined but still having problems, sure it will just be something really simple, hope so anyway lol

I have a rubber mat called 'Grip It' - purchased from Halfords especially designed to go under childseats - this stops the seat moving and fixes it to the seat and stops it sliding. It goes underneath and all the way up the back of the seat. It really is very good and worth the £12.99. I stops the car seat marking the seat aswell.

I had the same problem, ended up buying a Maxi Cosi XP Henri seat, that incorporates a lap strap tensioner, this did the trick and holds the seat really firm in place no lateral or forward movement.(y)

Check oput the link below:

Also have a similar problem in my wifes Punto mk1, but managed to wedge our original seat in the front..... only problem is when I have to get into the rear seat.....wish we'd bought the 5 door version:cry:

Just checked my rear seats out and found what look to be ISOFIX connections for child seats, does anyone know if this is what they are....only noticed cos' mother in laws VW Golf has them and a big label says ISOFIX, but they look the same.

Euro NCAP site does say Stil has ISOFIX points on rear outside seats and also top tethers.

ISOFIX seat may be an alternative for Stilo.
