Technical bulb change???

every car only has to have a working rear fog light to pass MOT, but if it is fitted with front fogs then both mus work
That still sounds a bit confusing
Rear fog light/s working- MOT requirement
Front foglights working- not an MOT requirement but if you use them then it's a legal requirement that both sides must be working

Handy guide to MOT's here

Would I be correct in thinking that there is a similar amount of grief when having to change a front sidelight bulb as there is in changing an headlight bulb?

The same crap applies to bikes unless I'm mistaken, bikes don't have to have indicators, but if they do they must work :hm:

Easiest way is just to take the wheel liner out and get at them that way, only a few screws and you have quite good access to them from the wheel arch =]

I second that. It took me about 3 hours to change the battery side side lights. This time I jacked up the left side of the car, took off the plastic wheel liner, turned the wheels full lock left and I could see right in there. Much easier than fumbling around blindly!
