Does anybody know where i can find the rear engine mount, part number 46781894. The schumacher failed mot on it so it needs to be replaced and i have had no luck finding the part and the dealership is still trying to find the part but i heard its not available anymore. If anybody can point me in the right direction then i would greatly appreciate it :)

Shop4parts.co.uk and Buycarparts.co.uk both are supposed to stock them but seem to be "Out of Stock" at the moment.

You can search eBay too... but beware of sellers who list a part but also don't have it in stock (expecting to get hold of one and ship it, after you've bought it).

These other manufacturers make one too:

Original Birth: 50393
Malo: 149095
Original Imperium: 29150
OCAP: 1225709

Do you know if this part would work for now until i can source the ones you gave me? It is a original birth: 50842, i can see why it wouldnt fit as it looks identical except its for the JTD

It looks like you're in a spot.

I can't find 46781894 ever had any successor part numbers and the item has vanished altogether from the Fiat ePer so it's tricky to find another compatible OE part number that could show up on some part manufacturer's compatability list.

"50393" doesn't come up on the current Birth catalogue, even though it must have existed at one time... and Malo's web catalogue doesn't recognise their (presumably obsolete?) 149095 part number either.

The 50842 probably looks the same as yours but it must be subtly different at least, otherwise it would be listed as fitting your car (Birth does not list a mount for your car).

Having said that it might be close enough that it can be modified or tweaked to fit.

As far as I can find out, the dimensions of 50842 are as below, though I don't know which bit of the part they relate to. You can measure your old one and work out which is which;

Diameter 1: 20mm
Diameter 2: 13.2mm I guess these are the holes for the bolts
Intermediate length (maybe the length between bolt holes?) 143.3mm
Overall length: 218mm
Shore (no idea at all what this might be): 65 +/-5

Cost me arround 90€ shipped to france

Thanks for all the advice, i have ordered the part 50842 so will let you all know how it goes with fitting it into the schumacher. If all goes tits up i have manged to locate the original birth part made for the schumacher on ebay, the part is exactly what i need but i cant really wait for shipping from italy nor want to pay £25 shipping so will have to hope all goes well :)

Hey all, back again with a update. The mount is fixed and all is done, the part was a direct drop in replacement. Still no mot as now the rear coil spring is broken which the first mot tester didnt notice and apparently the entire subframe, rear axle and rear seat belt point are all going to rust away in the next few months so never going back to that mot station as the fiat dealer never said anything about them when it got mot there first time round. Lesson learned

Expect further updates once it goes through with brand new coils, hopefully this should be the end of this manic episode for an mot :)

just to add, the part discussed is not the same as the 1.6 version.

I did mine last year, and the old one I tigersealed it. When that time comes again, I will put the tigersealed one back in. Took 2 weeks to cure though, so I don't think Tigerseal is a good way to save not having a spare part, though other PU sealers may set much quicker

Hi all, back again with the last update for this saga. Car passed mot and is back to being taxed after a nightmare with dvla over that however after the first drive it broke down because a engine management fuse corroded to pieces so the aa man had fun with that. Engine mount holding up fine so no issues there, thanks for the help all

Hello, sorry to comment on an old thread, but I believe this is the solution to my problems.

Can I have confirmation if the Birth 50842 that is discussed in this article was successfully fitted on a 2.4 Schumacher and not a JTD Schumacher?

Thanks in advance.
