Hi :D

I'm thinking of upgrading to 17 inch boots and have found some i like Fox Racing R1's, picture attached. What do you people think??
www.topgear.co.uk are doing a deal with Federal 205/40/17 tyres for £575 with lockers and delivery included.

Has anyone heard of Ferderal tyres?

Another guy on ebay is doing similar for £580

Does anyone know the offset required on 1.9JTD Dynamics as I don't want to put any extra strain on the suspension components even though these wheels are supposed to be lightweight.

cheers

Nice wheels (y) Btw it comes to 632.99 altogether.

Dont the Stilo Dynamics come with locking bolts? You can use the existing ones and save 25quid ;) Also are any of the Topgear dealers near you- you could save the 25quid for delivery aswell then it will be 575quid.

0% finance is available too! I think i'll be using this company when I get some Momos - let me know how it goes :)

They will give you the correct alloys for the car, offset is 35-45 I think.

Yeah i have got lockers forgpt about that cheers,

There is a topgear place in guildford where i work so could get them fitted at lunch time??? hhmmm

Ive seen a few audi A3's with this style of wheel, ie chunky 5 spoke and they looked really good. As the A3 is a similar shape I thought they'd look good two.

I'll have to have a play in photoshop and try a mockup.

Like the wheels alot!!!! agree with you on the audi thing, Ive seen a few cars with this style of wheel on and it seems to suit all.
Not to fussy and chunky, will suit stilo styling! go for it!!!! also easy to clean with the large gaps, you can get your hand right in and keep them looking good! make sure you paint your calipers!!!!! nothing worse than a smart wheel, especially with large gaps, and a dirty caliper behind!!!!
I have the Fiat 17inch 5 spoke (i think they are called blades) not to disimilar to the wheel your loking at! with gold calipers and they look great!!!

On the federal front, not sure, you can go to mytyres.co.uk and look up the tyres, they willgive you a review!

remeber to post some pics when fitted!

The offset is PCD98 if you get PCD100 you'll need wobbly bolts! I think the price is rather expensive myself you might find some the same & cheaper here www.rochfordtyres.co.uk A friend at work bought some 17" wolfrace wheels with tyres for under £400. (y) Personally I don't think they'll suit the stilo sorry!

This place explains it all.

I think there's been a slight missinterpretaion ( oooh big word for me, and I prolly spelt it wrong, but I don't care :D )

Those wheels will need new lockers if the PCD is 100 because they will need to be wobbly lockers ( lol, I nearly said Wobbly nockers :D )

It's wierd actually because I have heard some places refer to the PCD as being the offset, which is not the case so it can be a pain in the ass especially when those places supply wheels

I have spent the last 7 months looking for new wheels and it's only just become clear to me over the last month or so, and I have had to double check what they were actually telling me

Thank god I have bought some now and I can leave all this wheel stuff behind me :D

:tempt: ... hmmmm :nono:... :nerner:

I'm making a video of the car and I wanna leave the revealing of the wheels till then. I have told only two people and thats because they are gonna see them in the flesh anyway... :)

They're nothing special, they are 18s' and I just think they suit the Stilo well.

Thanks Koarang (y)

That bible link makes things much clearer, cheers.

I'll check the PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter, see i've been reading up!!!) and according to that link the offset (marked as ET) will be somewhere stamped on the wheel so i'll check my 16's.

Doe anyone have a set of genuine Fiat 17's they can check without removing them from their car? I'd like to get the same if possible.

Thanks all for help, i'll try and post a photoshop when i take a pick of my car.

Neil

For reference, my MW has got some similiar lookins ASA´s in (17", 225/45)

Hmmmm, I think they are quite a lot different in style, yes they are 5 spoke but the shape is totally different to the R1's. The R1's are are more sporty wheel and I think they will look good on a sprint blue Stilo, nice choice.
