Yes, happened with me recently after fitting a Wharfedale unit picked up in the Argos sale. MW is there but it's pretty unlistenable.

A friend told me that most mobile MW recievers have internal AM(MW & LW) aerials due to the length of the loop required and only use an external aerial for FM(VHS). Im not sure this applies to cars but if this is the case in the Stilo perhaps the original Stilo aerial is not capable of recieving MW(AM) frequences?

Before I took ordinary radio out, all frequencies were fine. Problem started when I put my own cd/radio in, I wondered maybe a wire would have come loose or maybe I need a stronger aerial? Many thanx for any advice.
