my stilo estate jtd was fine on friday then snowed over night and would not start saterday turns over but thats all when battery when down i recharged but still no luck, the dash was giving me warning signs "filter" so i changed the diesel filter thinking it had water in it but still the same. Got rac out used his heave duty charger again no luck , sprayed quick start in the air intake but no change, plugged his lap top in but would not communicate with the car. Does any one have any idea.

hi there i have the same car an 03 plate jtd and mine has the same issue i've been advised by the guys on the forum that it may be the egr valve or rpm sensor thats at fault but due to the snow here i've been unable to get at it to check anything

the fault code readers will not work on your car if its a 2003 or below diesel jtd

i've read through the forums and people have advised getting a vag com cable to diagnose any fault codes which i've ordered and have to wait on this arriving before i can do anything

i'll post back here and let you know if i ever manage to get it going what the fault was
