I think the elm327 cable is the better one to get? I have one and a vagcom and i wasnt able to get the vagcom workin. altho i had modded my vagcom for the bmw i used to have so maybe that was the issue with that one. Also had to mod my elm and remove a resistor to allow connection with CAN modules

Hello I would like to buy a used multipla bipower cng 2002-2003 year and I bought Vagkkl interface cable:
attachment.php

My idea was that I hunt for the odometer km on dashboard, engine, abs and airbags but:

I played in simulation mode and in simulation in Multiecusacn 1.4 version I can only see engine, abs and airbags there is no dashboard and body (proxy alignment for example)

Do we have in multipla at all the dashboard, services, body, climate control and other system ecu options like on punto, bravo and other Fiat cars.

Or is this just it? Or its just like that in simulation.
Could I at all access in the dashboard and services if multipla have it at all, or do I need elm327?

In which places multipla writes the mileage odometer? And how can I access in all of them?

Please I need help, I need to understand this. Thank you.

Hi everyone,

I just bought a 2002 stilo 1.6 3 dr, with some:cry: electrical problems. I was hoping this software and your help could help me fix it.

Iv read most of the thread and forums at yani's site, and using these cable options
idiagnostics.co.uk (dont have 5 posts so wont let me post full URL.
but I still dont know if I can get away with the adjustable modified KKL cable for the following:
-airbag fault read and reset
-service reset
-Engine management codes read and reset.

I dont want to spend 100 on cables and software if possible.
I would really appreciate any help. I want to get these sorted so I can start the tasteful modify game.

Cheers

I have, I think, every relevant cable and adapter known to man... -- and the requisite copy of MES! (y)

If you can wait until The Super Sausage Meat, then fine... -- otherwise PM me; and we could perhaps meet at Cherwell Valley or Oxford Services on the M40 (or somewhere else that makes sense...)?

I might need a few days to recover from the NEC, though...!

Im posting this to help others who have just found this/will need it.

Today I fixed my airbag problem with this software and cables(y). Total cost under €50. I had briefly used Rosstech stuff before, but if you havent used any code reader its easy and makes life way easier when dealing with problems.

If someone is browsing this in the future - to save you some time, I wish I could of - this is what you do to find your problem....and fix it. Luckily I had a easy fix.

1- Buy these cables.

from here http://www.idiagnostics.co.uk/ ....You can browse ebay for cheaper ones but you have to modify them as different parts of the ECU works on different pins. e.g. Airbag is separate to engine fault codes, some are chinese crap. Its just easier and you can access everything.

2- Download the free trial (you should definitely buy later anyway) and READ the first few pages of instructions. The 'latency' settings stuff is important. It will make sense later. Just follow it. If you can read you can do it.

3- Connect the blue (KKL VAG com) & Red (Airbag) leads together...plug in...select vehicle....select airbags...select scan....-it tells you what airbag system you have. my stilo 1.6 active was SIEMENS MY99 Airbag (2F-2P-2L-2T-I-S-C)...click that option and connect...check 'errors'.....I had 6 or more stored in memory. Copy these somewhere, take a screen shot or something. Its just as a reference.....then clear faults and see what remains..THIS is your problem you need to fix.

4- Everybody's codes/problems will be different from here.
Mine was code '21-Curtain airbag squib'....Through this post https://www.fiatforum.com/tech-talk/268442-stilo-airbag-problems.html found out it was the airbag connection in the rear pillar drivers side. As done by many people on here, I disconnected the battery, waited 15 mins, disconnected orange plugs and sprayed contact cleaner (€6 euro from halfords), let it dry and reconnected.

5-Whatever your fix was, when your done then get the software back out, go to the airbags again, clear faults and if the airbag red light stays off your done!!

The light may come back in the future but for now its perfect. Can get through the NCT/MOT anyway. I need the full version to do some more stuff so Im gonna buy it...then a few mods at last.

hi does anyone know if this software will work on my 1.4 active and on windows 8 if not what software will I need?? need to look at a abs fault. cheers

The Software lists Stilo 1.4 16V

From http://www.multiecuscan.net/

Windows 8 note:
Multiecuscan works fine on Windows 8, but you have to install .NET Framework 3.5 (which is not installed by default). You simply have to go to Control Panel -> Add remove programs -> Add remove windows components, and install .NET Framework 3.5.
For the CANtieCAR interface you can install the same drivers as Windows 7.

Requirements:

Multiecuscan
- A computer that runs Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 (32/64), Windows 8 (you need to install .NET Framework 3.5)
- Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 SP1 (or a newer version). Free, available from www.microsoft.com.
- K-line/VagCom 409, ELM 327 v1.3+, OBDLink, ELMScan, OBDKey 1.40 or CANtieCAR interface
- 1.5GHz CPU and better recommended
For further details and question please visit our forum.

I have a problem with my mothers panda. I've tried to proxy align the speedo clocks to the car and I'm getting fault code u1602 and it stops writing to the speedo clocks and can't finish the process off. Any ideas what this can be???

Just a word of warning. I bought £30 odd pounds worth of connectors with the idea of finding out why my climate control acts strangely. Only when I read down into the detail of the Ecuscan manual did I find I needed to buy a registered version of the software to access this area. This would cost another £50.
I'm wondering whether it would be wiser to get a diagnosis from Halfords-who currently have an offer for this of £20. p.s. Anyone interested in my (un-used) connectors?

That probably wont clear fault codes... just read them and wont do proxy alignment.

I bought MES and its worth every penny, only had to buy it once, updates for one year - can move the licence if i swap out my laptop so its all good.

I have proxy aligned my stilo, re-activated my remote after the car forgot it, have also read other codes, cleared some and will be clearing more once they are fixed.

My next motor might be a Stilo Multijet 150 but finding it hard to find one so i might just get a 2007 / 2008 brava multijet 150 and i have all confidence that i can carry on using MES to its full capability :)

I also purchased a cheap elm 327 1.3+ modified cable kit that came with a vag / k-line too... you can buy a cheap one but make sure its advertised as modified or you will have to modify it yourself (guides online) something about resistors and the value been too high due to incorrect resistors, a simple desolder and solder in a new one will get them non workers to work ;)

hi guys, the fiatecuscan_net site is not available..

Could somebody give a working link (in google drive for example) to download the last version of the fiatecuscan program (or if exists a better program...)?

thank you in advance!

hello to you all.

Does anybody know where can I get drivers for vag-com 409.1 for WIN-XP or WIN-7

Thank you.

Hi,

There is no such thing as "drivers for vag-com 409.1" VAG-COM 409.1 s software, drivers are used for hardware. I assume you are looking for drivers for a KKL interface of some sort. Even this is difficult. The orginal KKL interface for VAG-COM used the RS232 serial port that was then tandard on PCs and needed no drivers. Modern laptops don't have RS232 ports so the latest KKL interfaces include a USB to RS232 interface chip. While a common type is made by FTDI there are everal others. You need to know what chip is in the interface to get the correct driver. It should have come with the inerface. If you just bought it,contact the supplier. Unfortunatly there are fake chips and drivers out there.
