Re: Stilo ECU Reset Function ...

question the people on here may or may not know the answer to.... but here goes

I have FES, and ive paid for it, but i haven't got round to registering it yet.

now they have released the ability to adjust the odometer reading i can finallllly install my abarth dash and turn on CC light :)

and ive got a real ELM cable (never got the blue-tooth one working) all i've done with FES before was sort out my airbags (only needed the free version, so didnt get round to registering)

anyway, I now want to register it to use the good features, butt i want to initially use it on the pc in my car. but i am buying a laptop soon and would make more sense if it was registered on there. my question is if I register it to the hardware key of the PC in my car, will I then be able to re-register it to my new laptop? (not on both obv)

Re: Stilo ECU Reset Function ...

I have an ELM bluetooth adaptor for my 1.4 stilo, used mostly for my Torque app on my mobile. What I want to know though, will I be able to adjust settings through fiat ECU scan software using this bluetooth adaptor on the CAN network.

This is what I have
Bluetooth OBDII OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner, Scan tool: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

Also, can anyone give me a quick run through on how to activate the CC dash light, and would I need the paid version of FES to do this.

I'm just trying to gather info on this before I start the retro fit of CC to my car, and would like to get it all working properly as if it was factory fitted.

Cheers for any help

Chris

Where do I find this (sub menu etc..), I have the free version at the moment, and wont be purchasing this software until I have CC working. Will I be able to find it on the free version.

Cheers

Chris

You need to be connected to the cars Body Computer(ECU) to access the CC light on function.

I've been playing with it this evening, I scanned for usable interfaces, found my ELM 327 v1.4 bluetooth adaptor, configured the port latency to 1 (far left on the sliders) on COM port 7 as the test was reporting a high latency, now the test returns ok, but I'm still not able to connect to the ECU? Have I missed something,

I've got bits per second set to 57600bps, on both the FES and the COM port.

You need the registered version to access "CAN Setup / PROXY Alignment Procedure" to set the CC light.

All modules shown in red type below need the registered version.

Ahh well that's not going to help, the fact I'm trying to connect to an ECU which requires the registered version. Cheers for that Davren, I thought I had access all the ECU's, but no ability to edit the setting without the paid version. Will have another try tomorrow with an ECU which does not require the paid version.

Registered or unregistered if you Scan for connectable ECU's(Modules) you should get a list of them similar to to this one. If you don't somethings wrong.
