Hey

The selespeed version had loads of equipment. But im mainly interested in the audio stuff. The Selespeed had 6 speakers (or was it eight even) and the subwoofer, plus it played the mp3s.
Now im looking into buying a 2.4 GT or Schumacher (Is this the same car?) with the manual
transmission.
Do you guys know if those two versions had the same audio equipment (minus the navigation) and could play mp3s or only navi+ can do that ?

And does it take a lot of effort (disassembling half the car) to place in the same number of speakers and a sub ?

thanks !

The Schumachers had the sub + MP3 option - it was six speakers in 3dr format, but with the rears having tweeters and main speakers in one unit, so effectively 8.

The GT wasn't really used in the UK but it is effectively the Abarth - you'll need to check the audio as I'm pretty sure GT's only came with a CD player and no sub / MP3 option.

Retrofitting sub is possible - factory way is much harder than a generic aftermarket option.

I see, thank you for the anwser.
Can one tell just by looking at the dash which unit is mp3 capable and has the hi-fi option installed. Because im looking here at a gt and a schumacher and the cd/radio unit looks the same to me ?

rich is right

the schui had the "upgrade" stereo, sub, better rears and the mp3 unit

the GT had none of the these, it was basically and abarth manual with the sat nav removed, and the elcetric seats etc.

but yeah a GP schui, get one, you wont regret it, trust me(y)

and the mp3 units had "mp3" written on them, all schuis were mp3 and sub they had mp3 written on the left hand side(y)

and no lumber support on the passenger seat either

I will thanks! Thanx to you both, I wont look at GTs anymore

One last question

Does anyone know if the Schumachers also have the unadjustable lumbar support (front passenger seat) that is adjusted to like max (the Abarth did) ??

My Abarth was sometimes a pain to sit in for a longer ride if you were the passenger because that thing would just keep pushing in your back. I like lumbar support but the passenger seat had it like on max+ in comparison to my driver's seat.
