How can i turn off the beep i use my car for delivering and the beep is driving me mad rgds Anne

this can be done with the Examiner diagnostic tester at your Fiat Dealer.

i managed to do it though..

Follow this guide:

1) Get in the Car

2) put on seat belt

3)hear the silence

I never got the beeeps on my 1.6 but it does do it on the wifes 1.4 gotta say it does my head in and thank the lord it dont do any of the beeps on the panda..:slayer:

My Abarth doesnt do it either maybe its only certain models or a year it came out or summut?!

Annemt has said they deliver though using their Stilo :yum:

(so long as they are only travelling 50-100 meters between drop offs there aint no requirment to wear a belt)

BTW , my 1.2 2003 doesnt beep , just the warning light ! so sounds model/year specific , id go with the examiner answer .

i did notice the delivery bit...
was just trying the be a wise guy


Plus...legally whats the maximum you can drive without a seatbelt?

if the police pulled you over for not wearing seat belt would you get away with "i was only driving 100metres?" i doubt it lol

Pretty sure you can't disable it but why don't you just turn the volume right down

Buzzer Volume in 'My Car' Menu.

Not tried it myself but I think this will reduce the BEEP volume :idea:

My 2003 1.2 beeps. Must be a random Fiat option

It must be possible to disable it as some cars beep and some don't. Possibly with Examiner only though. My car does not beep for the seatbelt. (It beeps for lots of other errors, but that is another story). I just have the light on the dashboard.

My GPS seatbelt buzzer gives me hell with a large plastic bottle of milk on the seat

after around 3-4mins of beepig it turns off anyway.

i quite simply put my seatbelt on

it does sometimes get a bit annoying when were shifting cars about in our drive and theres no point in putting it on

Dont think there is TBH , think u have to have it on before you pull away.

One Idea though here is to fasten your seat belt before you get into your car and just sit over the top off it ???

Why not just get a spare buckle out of a scrapper. Sorted then!!!!

Start using it... If you 're bored to do so, fasten the seatbelt behind the seat all around to the buckle locker...

yep, a lot of people do that..i have dun it a few times myself

In a collision (with my Tipo) i got out without any scratch and since then i always use seatbelts...
