hi everyone hope you can help i own an 02 stilo abarth with connectnav and have just fitted a fiat/blaupunkt cdc its all connected correctly and lights up etc after putting discs in it just scans them puts the info from disc onto screen eg number of tracks/album name but will not play any discs it didnt ask for code when fitted and local fiat dealer just scratched his head and various other body parts before walking off !!!!!

Try pressing SETUP button 4 times very quickly with no pauses in between presses, this does a "RESET" of the units, sounds like the CN+ sees it but hasn't fully initialised.
What type of discs are you using, the CDC cannot read MP3 or Data discs, only standard audio cd and I believe it's very fussy at what CDRs it will read nicely.

Yep, same issue here! Help guys!!
I think it's something to do with the fact no code has been entered and it's a security measure as the CN+ and changer are not handshaking properly. Grr!

When I fitted the cd changer (brand new dealer supplied Fiat specfic blaupunkt) it didn't need a code, just worked out the box. Was always pretty shaky and eventually gave up - well according to the new owner it did - it didn't surprise me.

Think it's caused by the fact the CD autochanger isn't new, so will have another unit's code stored in it. I need to find out how to wipe this off the unit.

Quite possibly but wouldn't it ask for the code if wrong? My changer came with a booklet with the code but I wasn't required to enter it. The fact that the system is seeing the player is a good start, whether it can play discs is another matter.

International Rescue has solved it again

Searching the www yesterday, it became apparent that lots of people have issue with this. So, downloading the german menu, and doing it on my Stilo, here's how to solve this issue:
Please note, this is only applicable for people who have a Stilo with CN+ (Connect Nav+) who are wishing to install a Blaupunkt IDC-A09 that has been previously installed in a car.
1. Plug the CD changer into a Stilo with a VISTEON headunit.
2. Insert a CD into slot 1.
3. Turn the stereo on, select CDC and get it to play CD1 (it won't ask for a code).
4. On the IDC-A09, push and hold buttons 2+5 for about 5 seconds; you'll hear the CD has stopped playing (the handbook says all the lights should come on but I didn't think they did on mine).
5. Turn the Visteon stereo off, wait 10 seconds, then turn back on.
6. Select CDC mode if not already playing.
7. The stereo will start playing from the CDC but the screen will display "CDC M-CODE ----"
8. Enter the code using buttons 1 to 4 (i.e. code 4321; press button "1" 4 times, button "2" 3 times e.t.c.).
9. Confirm code entry by pressing the "SRC" button (bottom left).
10. Turn the Visteon stereo off; DO NOT TURN BACK ON!
11. Unplug the IDC-A09.
12. Install into your Stilo with CN+; you'll notice it now starts playing

Nope, completely different issue. If the code on the IDC-A09 is active for CN+, no CD will play.
That sounds like a software issue to me, don't know as I haven't used the CD Changer yet.
Thanks, When you get a moment could you try. easiest if you select the last track of a cd and see what happens. I'm hoping that it is not the same for all.

This is just how the software has been programed. If you want the CD Changer to go onto the next disc when it has finished playing the one befor what you have to do is, on the audio screen, press the "repeat button" (bottom left) several times and on screen it'll go through "repeat one" (repeats the song that's playing), "repeat CD" (repeats the whole CD) and finally "repeat All"; this last one it the one you want, when this is on the CD Changer will go through all the CD's one after the other until you switch you car off. When you turn your car back on it won't remember it was on repeat before you turned it off so you'll have to do it again.

Finally though it means I can drive for more than one cd distance.

when unplugging the cdc do you have to worry about disconnecting the battery negative terminal like the blaupunkt manual says? i always thought that would be dodgy!
