I thought all Stilos had tinted windows - mine certainly have.

@sgh1970,

Dumb question maybe but with the rear blind fitted I presume you can still see out the rear fairly well?

You must have got lucky, dont no any other stilo with standard tints,
Yes you can see out the windows no problem, full of little holes so from drivers seat its not a problem

Heres some pictures i borrowed from another members gallery so you can see what the look like (well on a 3door)! I like the sides they look quite nice and are a good fit, not sure about the rear though!

Thanks for all your replies guys, I think they look great and will definately be getting some. We are having a baby(4 days late!)so it wont even be hard to persuade the wife that the £80 or so is worthwhile.

cheers

The stilo does come with tints, if you've got that anti-glare stuff, it's like 5% tinting. Mine has it, but it's quite pitiful tinting, it only stops dodgy angled sun from reflecting.

The law now states that new tints should not be placed forward of the 'B' posts on any car. Cars with existing tints should remove them, however, the police should only ask you to remove them if they are more than 25% tints. However, if they decide to make you remove them, they will make you do it, by order, and report back with a suitable mechanic to say that it has ben done.... Bummer.

Re: Stilo 5 Door Sunblinds

Has anyone actually fitted the 5 Door Blind Set?

I picked up a set but they came with instructions for the 3 door :bang:

The rear blinds are almost identical but the side blinds are quite different as they have to allow for the extra two doors. The fittings provided are quite different too and look like you have to push them into the trim rather than just stick them on as you do with the 3 door.

Any chance someone might actually have the 5 door instruction sheet?

Be good to see some pics when done - I may be interested in a set :chin:
Should look very smart once I get them fitted.

Rear window + Rear quarterlights are in but the blinds for the doors have me completely beat!:bang: :bang:

Come on! Surely there must be someone who's bought and fitted the 5 door set.

How to fit Stilo 5 Door Sunblinds

Ok, here's the answer:

Unlike the 3 Door, with the 5 door set you get an extra two blinds so 6 in total.

Fitting the 2 rear blinds is exactly the same as the 3 door so I wont go into any detail.

The rear quarterlights are also very easy to fit as you just push them in much the same way as you do on the 3 door.

The problem blind is the one that goes over the rear wind-up windows. Once you've fitted the rear blinds you'll find you're left with 4 large clips and 2 small ones (3 for each side). The small clip should be inserted at the bottom of the window between the plastic and the fabric trim as shown.

The two large clips should be inserted under the window surround trim. The best position seems to be about 5 cms down from the top. This is quite tricky the first time as the trim needs to be carefully levered away from the car frame in order to get the clip in. The best tool I found to do the job was a plastic bicycle tyre lever (don't use a metal one  )

Nice feature of this set-up is that you can still wind down the rear windows while the blinds are in place.

Hope this helps anyone else who gets hold of the 5 door set without instructions.
