Do you mean a standard none remote key?

If so then yes it will still have a immobiliser chip in

Yes its just the standard key . So what would i have to do if i was to change the barrels, because i cant lock up from drivers side coz barrel knackered....

You could change just that barrel and have it as a different lock to the ignition

Sounds like the best way that , thanks , is it an easy thing to do

If i get one off Ebay , will the barrel fit ?

Change that barrel for one from the other door that does work.

Ok, thanks for all the help, i will try the swap, but i would prefer to lockup from both sides......
