Getting my research in early! Further to the Doblo thread I was considering replacing an old VW Transporter with a van based MPV such as the Scudo as with 5 seats (at least) and still reasonable boot space probably compares favourably with a mid 90's Transporter? I have driven a Citroen Jumpy which I believe is exactly the same vehicle and seemed pretty good really.
Usage will be ferrying bee hives, small trees, general stuff between locations and maybe trips back over to the UK. How easy/hard is it to remove the rear seats? Reliability of the 2.0 diesal?
I'm looking at van based vehicles as I (maybe erroneously) see them as potentially more robust than car MPVs as these will be used quite hard and I don't care about being a racing driver. I find the VW to be really hard to drive and even though will be spending more on servicing the more modern vahicle will be better longer term?
