my scudo 2001 jtd has a fault code p1517 anti theft code ,where do i start with this fault thanks matt

what happened before this?

its had anew fuel pum€p and yhe ecu has been refurbed but it was running after these parts where fitted ,it also has a toad alarm fitted could it be that, my red light at the top of dash dosnt come on at any time .it just turns over but doesnt fire cheers matt

code light don't come on at all? if so may just be fuse has gone

checked fuses all ok is there a rely for immobiliser?

what would cause the immobiliser light at the top of dash not to come on?

a break in the circut maybe

tried every fuse not 100% if the security system has a relay ,mayby if i got the key recoded the light would work ,the fault code p1517 ( anti theft device )is the fault showing any ideas

key recoded wont help light should come on even with wrong key

electrio been out started with some basics there were no noise from pump in tank so he put a feed to it it and it works ,he removed big brown relay and refitted it so the pump now comes on with ignition, the only thing is it just makes a dull thump noise as if theres no diesal in tank it doesnt pump as such,also what is the purple relay in fuse box under bonnet for.
all this and i still have an immobiliser issue one thing at a time any info would be great thanks matte

do you by any chance know which fuse box and which fuse ?
