generally i like the drive.

I have remapped it to 100hp and it's just about ok, up to 90. High speed cruising is a pain due to it only being 5 speed, I hear some are 6-speed wish I had one of those.

The issue I have is setting off on the auto clutch. Normally it's fine. But if I boot it, full throttle, despite the engine being 25hp more than stock, it's the same - torque limited and a gentle set off, till the clutch is engaged. Then it shoots off down the road full power. It's embarrassing leaving me 3 car lengths being in a traffic light grand prix situation, due to the sluggish performance while on the clutch. I can't get it to spin the wheels or lay any serious power from standstill. It''s a pain at say a fast roundabout where you need to GO when you got a gap.

Does the 6 speed have this problem? Anyone know if things like the Berlingo 6 speed automated manual and 1.6hdi have the same problem or will they get on it if you floor it?

It an auto that where your issue is it won't let spin the wheels and things like that to avoid damaging the clutch and other parts
If you want to drive like that get a manual you have full control over

I've a newish Qubo (Feb '18) which is the same engine unit as your 75 PS but now rated at 80 PS. It goes like the wind, it pulls hard in every gear and up hills and where I'd have had to cog down before, it pulls round the uphill corners with ease (I've done nothing under the bonnet except top up the screenwash...I just wonder.....)

It's also a Dualogic (semi-auto) and I've had (inadvertent) wheelspin on a hill start in the wet but it really does pull much quicker than the pre-2017 facelift version.
Also when accelerating, when you change gear (I always do it manually cos I'm better at it than the computer) it gets into the higher gear a lot quicker than it used to.
If you're in town and driving (compulsorily) like a grandma there's a noticeable lag (in your era car) before the next gear up engages and when you make more demands it is quicker but in mine as a post '17 facelift it's very much quicker in both scenarios.

Would Fiat tell you what the difference is in engine management control or ECU programming if you asked - if they know (at your local dealer garage)? Sounds like your re-map was an expensive change to make not much difference..

Sounds like you have the wrong motor, a powerful V8 may suit better..........haha.
Cheers Qube O.

I have one, 330hp 5.0 amg v8. But I am happy with my panda 1.2 auto that will give full throttle and lay all its modest power down on takeoff, its not about outright bhp

Hmm, well the egt/duologic same box in my panda 1.2 lets me lay full power and spin the wheels a bit (it's only a 1.2) from standstill. It gets off the line far quicker than the qubo

I'd love to drive yours and you drive my 100hp mapped one. Are you by Scarborough or Whitby? I go there...
