Hi All, just got myself a Punto 60SX Mk1 3Dr (1998 S reg) as my second car, but have a few queries.

First of all, the colour, considering I can only find a grand total of 2 or 3 cars on the forum or google images search the same colour, Is it rare or is it just me? And what is the actual name for it?

Also, on reading the sticky at the top of one of the forums here it states that SX's as standard have split rear seats, mines just one part? Is the sticky only meant for Mk2's? Or is mine just odd?

And finally, power steering, its odd having to use effort to turn the wheel now, is fitting power steering a possibility? If so what sort of cost would I be looking at?

Please find attached a nice pic of my new car  Its a bit bashed and bumped and scraped, but its not the end of the world since it gets me back on the road again.

Hiya, Just replied on the other thread...Yep, it is a rare colour, but not the rarest...I think that would be the Xploit greeny-yellowy colour :)
It's called Turquoise Flash, some will call it Valley Green, but that is the mk2 colour I think, which is different.

You should have the split rear seats, my old sx did. Do you have quite a bright blue interior?...wondering if someone has changed it at some point.

As for power steering. I dunno if you can fit it, but I personally wouldn't bother. I found my old SX heavy at first, but didn't notice it after a while...and it kept the tread on my tyres in better nick :)

btw, she looks great (y)...I'm on my second green one and couldn't be without her.

i like that colour!!..,., i know its a bit girly and all but its unusuall.,.,lol
PS, under miss*virmins username she has the name on the colour??.,

fitting power steering is usually easy. remove the parts from a scrapyard car and fit them to yours (at least pump and steering rack, and need a new PS model aux belt to fit over the pump pulley). i did an old rover 200 a few years ago and it wasnt hard.

Thanks for the reply's everyone, lol.

And its not a she, its a he, I call him 'BUTCH' :D

Ok... Maybe not

The interiors more of a darker blue, with some red lines across and through it and a bit of green I think. It wouldn't surprise me if the interiors been changed, very tempted to change it again when I have the money spare because the back seats are a bit stained from dirt/sitting out in a scrappys maybe.

Well if you would prefer to be inside a he, rather than a she...your choice  :D

My sx (also an S reg) had a very bright interior, so much so, it really clashed against the green :D So maybe it has been changed.
