hi guys, i own a punto elx 90 1994, 1.6 mpi engine. doing a head gasket replacement as its failed and im trying to find the correct cylinder head torque specs for this motor. have triead searching but the closest i have found is a service manual for a tipo 1.6 but i believe its not mpi, are the engines identical? can anybody help me out with some torque specs? cheers

I would be very confident that you can treat the head as a Tipo 1.6 head.

Fuel injection will make no difference. Later Tempra 1.6s (and Tipos ?) had the MPI also.

You can always re-torque them after 1000 miles or so if you find different figures for your actual car.

thanks for that, i did think the tipo i.6 would be the same torque specs etc just wanted to double check
