Just for Dave:

To start off with spec for Mk2 goes like this:

Basic: 1.2/1.9D become Active/ Active plus.

Mid-spec: ELX becomes Dynamic.

Top spec: HLX becomes Eleganza.

ABS on all models standard from mid 2004.

Punto 1.2/ 1.9D from launch:
Drivers airbag, Dual 'City' Power Steering, Height adjustable drivers seat, Height adjustable steering wheel, Drivers lumbar adjustment, 6 speaker stereo radio cassette, 1-piece folding rear seat, Manky plastic front headrests, Grey bumpers, Tinted glass.

Punto 1.2 Mia (Summer 2000)
As above.

Punto 1.2/ 1.9D From Summer 2000:
As above, plus: Passengers airbag, Electric front windows, Central locking

Punto Active 1.2/ 1.9D from Summer 2002 (and 1.3 multijet from Mk 2.5):
As 1.2/ 1.9D above, plus: Body colour bumpers, Rev counter, Trip computer, 3-point centre rear seatbelt from 2005.

Punto Active plus 1.2 16v from Mk2.5:
As above, plus: Anti-lock brakes, Remote locking.

Punto ELX from launch:
As 1.2/ 1.9D, plus: Electric front windows, Central locking, 60/40 split rear seat with 2 headrests, Cloth front headrests, 6 speaker stereo, Body colour bumpers, Rev counter, Trip computer, Electric sunroof (1.2 16v/ 1.9JTD only).

Punto ELX from Summer 2000:
As above plus: Passengers airbag, Anti-locking brakes (at some point the rear headrests become receding too, early 2002 I think).

Punto Dynamic from Summer 2002:
As ELX above, plus: Front fog lights, Remote central locking, 3-point centre rear seatbelt and centre headrest. Electric sunroof went from 1.9JTD early 2003.

Punto Dynamic Mk2.5:
As above plus: Air conditioning, Electric wing mirrors, MINUS: Anti-locking brakes (1.2 8v), Front fog lights, Electric sunroof (1.2 16v)

Punto Dynamic Plus:
As above, plus: 14" alloy wheels, Front fog lights.

Punto Dynamic 2005:
As above plus: 14" alloy wheels.

Punto HLX from launch:
As ELX plus: Air conditioning (no sunroof), Velour upholstery and trim, Front fog lights, Remote central locking, 3-point centre rear seatbelt and centre headrest, Variable intermittent front wipers, 14" alloy wheels, Electric wing mirrors.

Punto HLX from Summer 2000:
As above plus: Passengers airbag, Anti-locking brakes (at some point the rear headrests become receding too, early 2002 I think).

Punto Eleganza from Summer 2002:
As HLX above, plus: Full-length curtain airbags, Side airbags.

Punto Eleganza Mk2.5:
As above, plus: Dual zone climate control. I think that was it...

As for Active Sport, Sporting, HGT and Abarth I'm bored now (as you all are, I'm sure), so I'll do that later...

Hi guys!

I hope u can help me with something... i am planning on buying the 2001 Version of the Fiat Punto, 2/3 doors that is. the version i am interested in having is the 1.2l 16V 80bhp 'HLX'.
What i would like to know is: Does this HLX version have an RPM meter or turometer, or whatever it's called???

I've been trying to get this info, but no joy, yet

please help!
