I have recently bought a Punto GT, I've put up a post on my problem with the ABS light being on but i have some other problems. The remote locking doesn't work, I tried the reset button in the top console, the small LED starts to flash and stops when press the button on the remote. Still doesn't work. The electric sunroof doesn't work, I've tried another switch but that didn't cure it. Also the small clock in roof console doesn't work, but it lights up when i put on my headlights. Ive looked for fuses but cant find any blown ones, i can't help thinking these problems are all connected.

Have you tried the fuse box?

In the Sporting, the central locking, the radio, the cigarette lighter and the roof mounted clock are all on the same fuse. I'm not sure if the sunroof is as well.

Check your manual, see which fuse it is (I'm sure its fuse 4 with a 15A fuse), replace it and let me know how you get on!

The only fuses i can find are some under the panel on the right hand side, acessed by removing 2 screws and 5 or 6 inside a panel in the glovebox anyone know where there might be some more, I don't have a manual.

Is this a Mk1 or Mk2 Punto?

The fuses in the Mk1 Punto are located to the Right of the steering wheel, by (as you say) removing 2 screws.

This is where you are looking for the knackered fuse. I am sure its fuse 4 and its a 15A fuse in the Sporting, so it should be much the same for the GT I would have thought!

Well i checked all the fuses, 6 in the engine bay, some in the glovebox then the ones to the right of the steering wheel, none blown, but then i fixed the sunroof, found a relay loose in the roof and plugghed it in, then moved the motor about and kept refitting it untill it worked right. Fixed the clock, had some slight water damage so i sorted some connections on the circuit board.
Ive got a reciept from quick fit for work done to the brakes £360 for some back calipers and some hoses etc. gonna take it there and complain about the low pedal and the abs light coming on. I checked for the pin in the brake pedal linkage as per a post i saw somewhere and guess what, there was no pin and it could of dropped to bits at any moment.

What are the chances of all the things that are operated by the same fuse having somethign wrong with them??? :p:p:D

Lol, i've looked at th recipt and its from 2001 so i guess they didn't mess the brakes up. It had a brake pipe for the MOT air must of got in the system then.
