hello am new so not sure if i on right bit? the clutch went on my punto sporting mk1 i paid a garage for a new 1 NOT CHEAP! they said it ripped my gear box up and that they repaired it ever since ive been havin problems with the gear box it hates going in 1st and 3rd and somtimes grinds in 2nd?? but before the clutch went it was doing some strange stuff when you pushed it in it would feel like it was crunching under your foot then it started makin a slight tweeting noise (like a bird) strange i know then loads of smoke came out like it was on fire then it got stuck in gear and was makin a very loud noise so toad it to the garage!!! i thought it was fixed but its stared doing the same stuff like crunching under my foot and grinding in 2nd gear ive been bk to the garage and they keep fobbing me off is this the clutch or the gear box or both and does it sound like they replaced the clutch or just some parts???

What parts are quoted on the invoice?. It should say which items have been supplied and fitted.

on mine it doesnt knock but sometimes grinds and always wines when going round corners is there bushes or bearings rubbers that can go in ya steering rack or on ya steering lol?????? ive takin my punto to a garage and they checked the belt and thats ok and theres plenty of fluid the garage man said he can hear the noise but he said he didnt know wot it was i just aint got a clue it so annoying!!!

i had the same problem about 5 weeks ago and i was like wat the hell is that so i went to euro car parts and ordered and clutch kit for it and fitted it all my self and went i finished i forgot i do up a bolt on the gear box comon mistake but it stopped for me going in ref so i done the bolt back n and made sure they all were and the problem stopped from there i can get in to ever gear with no cranch or grinding

its been back to the garage but still no joy when my clutch went it got stuck in gear and broke the final drive thing thats wot the garage said???? they fixed it was loverly for bout 3 months but for 2 months now it has stared doing things that it done just before the clutch blew up but the garage wont give me my invoice so im not sure even if they replaced the clutch like i paid them for! i will take it back and ask him to check the gear box bolts lol thanks for ya help x charlie
