Lovely looking car 5 door grey but sadly it wouldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding.

Hope it might loosen up still only 400 miles but desperately sluggish. I KNOW Its only 1200cc

Any ideas , maybe a re map?

Yes I test drove it.
Too much to take it all in though in a 15 min drive.
Fabulous looking car well equipped, it will mainly be used by my wife. Just sad its so gutless :)

It's only done 400, so it'll loosen up.
Iirc, below a certain mileage (about 1000 or so) the engine runs a reduced power map. I don't know true it is, but it sure as hell felt like it in the 1.4 8v punto evo I had. It's done 5000 miles with my old man owning it and it's loosened up very nicely, but it's still a bit sluggish. Even my 1.1 panda eco is quicker off the mark :D (That said, the panda is a hell of a lot lighter than the punto.)

I wouldn't hold out for it getting any faster, I run a 1.4 (77BHP) GBT and I still find it incredibly slow but then I do have a 140BHP car sitting along side it to compare it to. :)

I know what you mean as I also own a Hayabusa.
However, it is a shame that such a lovely looking and well equipped car is such a slug

I have a 1.2 GBT. And I have put a Straight through stainless backbox from LongLife (custom made) and that made a good difference, made feel just as willing as my old 1.4gbt. Also running it on Shell Nitro + makes a good bit a difference specially on hills. Wouldn't bother with a remap as the gains are not worth the money. Hope this lift your spirits :) lol... Also the backbox helps with the old italian way of rev the guts out of it and not get anywhere but always smiling.

Pipercross fitted and would recommend getting one off ebay £35 and increase low down power with no imcrease in noise and easy to fit!

What do I need a "RR" for? I dont need a graph to prove to me that the car I drive on a daily basis the same 10mile commute everyday to show me it has improved lol. Pulls up the same hill better, pull away the same junctions and overtaking lanes better, and has improved MPG. When you drive a car daily you get to no it. Also being a mechanic I understand the facts that performance filter improve airflow and throttle responce, higher octane fuel makes a bigger explosion (forcing pistons down faster) and a straight through exhaust gets the gasses out quicker. :D

Still think the car is below par performance wise. One other moan, is that the dials are hard to read. Love the cruise Control and apart from the seats being a nightmare to keep clean it is a nice motor
