Hi,

I have a nasty problem with leakage of water in to the car cabine (Fiat Punto -2001).
It’s leaking when water hits the area close to the left hinge to the engine cover.
It’s not much, but enough to flood the area in front of the drivers seat.

Have anyone seen the same problem with others Punto’s?

Had similar problem. Remove bonnet, quite easy, get a friend to helptake the weight. Then put lots of black sealing mastic in bolt holes, bolt bonnet back on, put more sealant over bolt heads and surrounding area. Leave mastic to set (about 4-6 hrs). That should cure problem. Pour water over area to check seal is OK. However you should lift the carpet and remove the wet soundproofing material or the carpet will never dry out.
