Hi guys,
Just wondered if i could pick the forum's brains..... I have noticed that on my puntos front bumper, there is a little open circle. It did have a cover on it / in it, but i think it must have come off in the car wash or summthing. Can anyone tell me what it is? Should i be worried? Do i need to replace? What will happen if it stays uncovered?

The hole in your front bumper is for the tow ring bolt, witch is in the boot (i think) incase you ever breakdown and need towing you dont have to be worried about it.

While i'm here....... My engine light keeps coming on sporadically, had a new MAP sensor in just before christmas and it was ok for a while but has now started doing this. Drives ok and fuel comsuption is fine, but warranty has run out from the car place and can't afford to have anything major done to it, what should i do??

Sorry, cant help you out there when engine management light appears it has to be the fiat dealer, to get it hooked up to diagnostic machine and read fault codes.. just keep driven it? lol

Try running some injector cleaner through and see if that helps

motorfactor/halfords, yes a girl can do it, just run the fuel low and add to the tank don't fill the tank with fuel as it says on the bottel as this will lessen the cleaning affect there petrolor diesel specific

Any moterfactor shop will have it , you pour it into the fuel tank just like filling up from a petrol station, this will clean your cars fuel injecters and dirt in any fuel housings..

Just wondered VTEC, what does pmsl mean??

Have bought some redex for my injection cleaning today but haven't tried it yet, but have noticed something else.....! When i go to start the engine up, it has now started to make a grinding/squealing noise for a few seconds when the key is first turned, and it stops as soon as the engine starts. Anyone know what this is?

Also when i am parking etc and have full lock on, there is kinda of a screech? But if i take some of the lock off it goes. is this because i should be using the City button to do tight parking or sharp turning etc??

Sounds like the squealing noise is from the starter moter, also could be the alternator belt or even cambelt cant really pin point it unless i was there under the bonnet, when on full lock sometimes you get a high pitched whine people say it aint good for it keeping it on full lock for amount of time, but a screeshin noise just your power streeing motor probly wouldint worry about it for now, but i would get that grinding/squealing noise looked at just incase its from the cambelt...

Don't mind vtec, probably laughing at me crying, he has trouble controlling his toilet habits

As punto.power says, its hard to tell on squealing noises without hearing and locating.
But you don't have to use your city button when parking if you don't want to.
