I have a Punto 75sx. If I indicate left a press the brake the fog lamp comes on slghtly and if I indicate left a press the brake whilst the lights are on all the lights flash. Whilst I like the Christmas tree effect it gives it doesn't provide very safe driving experience! I have tried removing the rear light clusters and cleaning the contacts around the bulbs - this seems to work for about a day. Any ideas for a more permanent fix??

My old 55s did the same i cleaned the terminals because they had a slight water leak on them..this maybe your problem..after i had cleaned them they worked fine

have you got a test meter?

I get this problem every now and then...aspecially when the weather has been damp. Usually just taking them all apart giving the terminals/bulb sockets a quick wipe and putting the bulbs back in does the trick.
Maybe anyone could enlighten us as to how to prevent this happening in the first place...ta.

use petroleum jelly on all the seals, and plenty of it.
clean all the contacts and connections before you do.
