Yet so far this message board is very useful to me and solved many problems of my bloody punto MK1 (N reg). Thanks to everybody.

Since few days I am having problem of sticky gears (sometimes) and it is getting worst day by day. Also as mechanic said when the clutch is pressed the hissing noise will go off, this will show the future trouble with gearbox. This shouldnt be a problem with clutch.

Is it true ?? if it is then If i will change the gearbox oil will it be okie. And to change only gearbox oil how much it will cost ??

just changed my gearbox oil yesterday, the oil cost me £8 from my local car shop for bout 2.5 litres since doing it has made selecting gears alot easier and smoother not sure if it will take ur hissin noise away tho

I got my clutch AND gearbox oil changed (you've seen the pictures of my clutch) and the gearchange is MUCH bettter. I can even get into first gear easily now. Before it used to take a few attempts to get into first gear.
