Technical Floor panal rust

I'll have to grind off all the rust first and then I'll see what I need and what needs to be done

Before grinding, get a screwdriver and poke the front floor pans, along the sills, inner wheel arches, bumper attachment points. Also check round fuel filler neck.

With that much floor pan rust, you're almost certain to have widespread problems. It really might be bye bye time. The floor pan is not a million miles from the rear seat belt anchor points, the inspectors might be doing you a favour.

i concur

I did do the screwdriver test on the wheel arches but I'll check properly again. The only rust related things I failed my nct for was the floor panels, the man was such a c**t, if it were possible to fail me for something else he would have so I rekon its just the floor panals, hopefully anyway.

Oh I know he was right to fail me, but he could have been nicer about it. He could have told me where the rust was and how bad it was instead of just handing me the sheet and saying I failed

After sanding off the paint and black plastic stuff. The black stuff is a pain to get off even with a grinder and sanding disc
