Hey guys,

This is my first post so please don't bite my head off! I have searched the web and these forums but havent found anything about the problem i've got.

I have recently brought a 2004 punto mk2b. The radio/cd player doesn't work at all its a sony cd player i believe (images below) It's completely dead. I have checked the fuses and they look fine so my next step is to check the wiring into the back of the player to see if anything has become disconnected but i cant figure out how to remove it! I have removed what is visible after popping off the facia and I am left with the following below. I would rather not go to halfords or anywhere to pay if I don't need to and I know its short notice but I would like to have it fixed asap! I have the pics below! If there is anything I've missed please let me know! :)

PS sorry for the bad quality photos, it's getting pretty dark!

Sony use a clip on either side and like Ziggy said you need 2 flat keys to release it however, I can't see the clips in that first photo and the radio is pushed too far back in its cage so I suspect it's not actually clipped in, and would probably just pull out.

The cage looks like the wrong one for a Sony stereo and there is no adaptor plate around to tidy up the dash. Chances are some one has just jammed something that looks like a radios into the dash might not be connected at all
