Fitted a new driver's side wishbone at the weekend. What a joy...

I hit a big pothole today, there was a single clunk from under my feet. I got it up on ramps later, checked the wishbone bolts and anti-roll bar bolts. Everything looked OK.

Anything else I should worry about?

I had the same thought about the bottom balljoint clamp screw/nut.
But it's so tight, I'd be worried about stripping the M8 thread if I went any tighter.

Did your bottom balljoint rubber gaiter get mashed when it moved?

I'll check the anti-roll bar centration too

its possible on original fit you didnt put the balljoint in the hub properly and fortunately the pothole did it for you

That's a good point.

Does the balljoint get pushed up till it stops? If so, that's what I did. I think at that point the diameter of the balljoint pin is bigger than the hole in the swivel hub.

no it dosent push all the way up, if you look at the shaft that goes into the hub theres a groove cut sideways to allow the hub bolt to pass thru.

i found out mine was loose when i gota pry bar between the driveshaft and the top of the shaft and i noticed play so i used a higher tensile bolt and tightened it harder and fixed it.
now i think my gearbox is clunking but ive got a 6spd ready lol
