Just a question for you.

I don't think this will be simply plug and play but I thought I would ask anyway.

Currently have a manual heater adjustments on my sporting, I can get my hands on a digital unit and the dash surround to match, any ideas if it would just be a straight swap ?

I Imagine I would need extra parts as I'm going from manual to digital so something would still need to "turn the knobs" so to speak.

Ideas on a postcard.

Thanks, Nick.

my dynamic has climate control all controlled digitally with servos, but it wont be plug and play in fact it would be a nightmare of biblical proportions if it went faulty

so the answer is no
dont do it:D

There's not much point in having the fancy controls without all the associated heater and aircon systems. The standard twiddly knob heater wont be the same

The Digital Controls are the automatic duel zone climate control system fitted to the Mk2b HGT and eleganza models

you would need to have aircon fitted to your car first.

the you would most likely need the Heater box from behind the dash of the donor car the center dash console and the central dash vents as these are all different,

for the climate control to would you would need exterior and interior temperature sensors, sun load sensor, engine coolant (heater matrix) temperature sensor, and depending if the various flaps in the heater box are controlled by electronic or vacuum servos you would need all that as well, and most likely a completely different dash loom which would accommodate all the extra sensors and electronics that the higher models have that non of the others do.

see attached pic for the different dash

you forgot to add that the handbook describing how to use this system is baffling
ive been running mine 2 weeks now and i still cant get the hang of it
i will say the extra cold start for the windscreen and mirrors is good though but got to say i prefer the straight forward aircon button

my attitude might change with time though:D

never really thought about it because i've had cars with climate control before

stick it on mono if you're the only person in the car
if really cold weather like it is at the moment hit the auto button and it won't blow cold air at you while the engine warms up it will wait and increase the fan speed when the engine gets hot

the annoying thing is it wants to default to have the aircon on all the time which can eat into your fuel economy
