So today is Friday the 13th, anyone remember what happened to me last Friday the 13th? My boot window got smashed in by a rock.

No dissapointments this year either! Went to Bath cinema, left the car for 2 hours, came back to find my door unlocked. Odd, my glovebox is also open, my g/f points out my sat-nav is gone. I checked the door and theres a small hole next to lock.

Im not angry, just had enough. Tomorrow I will be looking at pricing my car up for spares. The car is cursed (n)

why is the car getting the blame  poor car

How long you got? Besides, colour coded bumpers, sporting alloys etc, ill make so much money from it and its the least the car can do after the mess its put me through and the money its cost me.

The mk2 sporting is the best looking, most comfortable car ive ever driven. I just picked a cursed one and im not into that hokus pokus nonsence so believe me, its taken alot for me to think this.

This was the result of my last friday the 13th, lucky to be alive

The phone pole as moving fast ;)

Ba da dum tshhh.

In all seriousness though OP, everyone gets burgled. Happened to me loads of times. Nothing as valuable as a sat navigation system but things that I valued non the less.

Advice would be; don't get a car that is going to attract even more attention with its looks or badge (Mercedes or something like that, just the first thing that comes to mind). In fact, I'd say keep your Punto. It's bad ass. Black and 6 speed? Count me in.

It's not unlucky though, its just unfortunate.

It was a bit bad taste but couldn't resist.

I had a Montego diesel broken into with the same technique the bloke must have thought it was the MG turbo as he couldnt get it started.

I took the door trim panels off and araldited some 150 x 150 x 3mm steel plates into the door panel to protect the lock mechanism and always used a crooklock. The Monty was renowned for its easy access nature.

My brother also had a Monty around the same time and put his alarm horn behind the heater INSIDE the car. Not quite as daft as it seems. (1) the alarm had no weather and salt getting into the works. (2) people ignore care alarms. (3) it was really ****ing LOUD inside the car. You couldn't even put your head in the door opening to look for stuff to steal.

It reminds me that I must get around to doing my Punto HGT doors. It has remote locking, so might even take the door locks out and fit some painted button blanks over the lock holes. I might even wire up a self powered repeater alarm to the standard unit and do like my bro did all those years ago.

Some scumbag did the same to ours wile the wife was stood in the car park less than 100 yards away.

They didn't manage to get in and were probably scared off, but stilll left a bloody whole in the door!

I didn't blame the car at the time, but with all the other things that have gone wrong with it you might have something with this cursed idea!
