Hi all my first post here :wave:

I have a 1.2 8v mk2b punto and the problem i have with it is that the revs oscillate between 600 and 800 rpm when idle. This mostly happen when the engine temperature is between cold and operating temperature ( half way through the guage). When starting from cold this doesnt happen and when the engine is at the operating temperature this doesnt happen. So far ive changed:

• Throttle body
• Spark plugs + HT leads
• pre cat lambda ( upper one)

I cant think of anything else which is causing this...
and just to confirm there are no lights on the dash no fault codes any suggestions? many thanks

Yes it was i personally cleaned it with carb cleaner, but no luck.

have you done this ecu check https://www.fiatforum.com/punto-guides/52068-punto-coil-ecu-checks.html ?

Right i just gave that a go and the coils seem to be fine and i get a perfect output from the ecu. I tried disconnecting the map sensor and it ran like a bag of sh*t as like its running on 2 cylinders any thoughts? thanks
