My headlight on the drivers side seems to have a lot of condensation in it. ?
I realise this will be nasty with the electrics, what i wanted to if possible is this.
Is there a sort of gasket between the actual plastic and the housings where the lights sit. Would it be advisable to renew the light or try and remedy the problem.
Many thanks in advance.(y)

just remove the covers at the back, stick a hairdryer in there til it clears it. while thats drying, take the rubber seal out of the backing cover, wash off any dirt and dry, reseat then get some vaseline and spread it around the seal.

When light has fully cleared up, close up both covers again. should help

In mine the water seems to run down the inner wing, then theres another panel that joins just above the headlight unit, and it seems to be the point of where the water gets in.

Many many thanks for the advice yet again, worked a treat. My useless hubby done it this morning. A lot of water came out of the light.

One other thing if its at all possible please, There is no light in the boot compartment and i want one, what does the bulb look like please. We went into Halfords asking for one and they did not know what type it was,
W5W 5WT is what its got on the handbook, BUT !!! he said to bring the bulb in so we could match it up. So damned annoying:mad:

TBH them boot lights are crap and light up nothing, buy a better power light and wire it into the positive and negative for the boot light! (y)
It's what I'd do, except I'd use a blue light!
If you want standard it is w5w bulb isn't it

My hubby done that and i've waited a couple of days to tell you. It worked a treat, no more condensation thank you very much for your invaluable advice.

for the boot light i had the same problem and it didnt come with a bulb so i just bought some neon tubes and just wired them up to the existing light fitment and put the tubes on the lip just inside the boot and they work a treat now :D
Also i have the same problem with my drivers side light but the owner before me obviously lost the covers for them so ive constantly got condensation in there
