Hi

Battery died on my 51 reg Mk2 Punto at Christmas -- jump started it OK but since then the drivers side headlamp hasn't worked. Changed the bulb, no difference. Checked the fuse (the dipped headlamp one on the internal fusebox, as detailed in the manual) and it's fine.

Any ideas as to what's wrong?

iirc there are two fuses for dipped beam, one for each side. Have you checked both?

LH dip - F13 - 10A
RH dip - F12 - 10A

Yeah checked both, both intact -- what else could it be??

Have you checked the connector?

If someone has yanked the connector off by the wires it might not be making contact.

Check all the headlight wiring. If you jumped it there's a chance it surged and burned out a connector or some wiring.
