hi,

first post here so please bear with me. i have a 2000 Punto ELX ( 2 door) and have a problem with both the drivers and passengers seat belts not retracting when undone and have to be pushed back in manually.

Is there anything i can check or do i need replace both belts ?

Mine do it. There's all sorts you can do to help, none of which will guarantee a repair

1. temporary fix - spray polish on the plastic bits to lubricate it and just keep pulling it out and letting it go back in to free it up

2. take the plastics away and clean out the gunk in the mechanism but this is a ball ache lol
