Bah, car broke again!
Got to work this morning to find all the passeneger side floor soaking wet, including the back!
The water is clear, no smell of engine coolant at all. Been looking round the card and found is comming in here at the front of the passeger footwell.

This appears to be connected to this valve under the bonnet

As far as i can tell this is the drain for the aircon, it only seems to drain when the engine is switched off. When the engine is running and the aircon is on water starts flowing into the footwell at a steady trickle. If i turn the aircon off the flow of water stops shortly after.
Im assuming this valve is not blocked as drains when the engine is switched off. Should it drain all the time? Is there a second drain/valve somewhere that may be blocked for when the car is running?
Any ideas on a solution would be greatly appreciated cause its way too hot in a black car without aircon!!
Thanks

These "elephant" trunks as they call them can become blocked, some of them you can pull off to clean them out as they are rubber like. To be honest that one looks bolted in and not too sure with the aircon. Have you checked your two drainage pipes underneath the scuttle panel, remove the wipers:

1st. Prise with a flat screwdriver the plastic centre from where the wipers are, remove with a 8mm/10mm box spanner can't remember the size.
2nd. Remove the cross head bolts, I think there is about 6-8, and lift the wipers and scuttle panel away.

Then it reveals two drainage holes, do check these that they are clear, you can pull them out and wash them out.

This has been known to cause problems similar to what you are describing.

The drainage pipes in the scuttle are clear. Also is all dry around there.

The trunk on the aircon drain seems to be ok have had a feel and doesnt seem blocked. Seems to drain from there when the engine is switched off, just not while its turned on. Drains into the car instead! :(

lol didnt realise you were serious. :bang: Ok ill have a go tomorrow thanks.

Thanks very much.:D

Worked a treat, now drains out while the car is running instead of into the passenger footwell! (y)
