my mirror has just fallen on my lap when i was having a fag in my car
anyone got any ideas of how to get it back on ? :(:(:(:(:(

does it not just clip back on ? either that or super glue :idea:
 
it appears to be flat on the side with no sign of glue previously ....

Clean the glass and the mirror mounting with isopropyl alcohol (nail varnish remover) first. Allow to dry and then use a proper window bonding kit. Be prepared to have to hold you hand up and steady for a good 15 minutes. It's an absolute arm-ache. The good kits come with a sheet of gauze to account for any tiny variations in surface flatness.

Happened to me when my drunk mate undid his seatbelt and leaned forward before I had brought the car to a stop. He shot forward and took the rear view mirror off with his forhead. I'm afraid a very hot day may bring it tumbling down again though.
 
Mine is all chipped somehow at the edges so I have been toying with the idea of ripping it off and replacing it.

Would this be hard?
 
it just needs plenty of heat but as said above the problem comes when u look to put it back even new ones as the surfaces have to be pristinely clean to make sure the fit is tight
