Posts: 28 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | smoke after doing head gasket i did the head on my 98 punto 60s head was skimmed and engine runs fine but once hot lots of grey smoke.a mate said it could be water in the exhaust from when the gasket failed.....anyone got any ideas....cheers.

Take it for a long(ish run) and see if it clears itself (it should do if its just water in the exhaust) If it dosent clear are you loosing any coolant? However if its black/dark grey smoke that either burning oil or over fueling |

Posts: 28 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Re: smoke after doing head gasket can't take it for a spin until the end of the month when i'll tax and insure it.funny thing is it passed the emissions test this morning at it's mot,the place was full of smoke but he said it passed........ ![]()
