Hi there - need a bit of advice!

1999 T-Reg Punto.

Got a flat tyre, but when the RAC man tried to swap it for the spare for me he couldn't because the wheel bolts on the normal wheel were too short to fit the spare. The spare had an extra circle of welded metal meaning it needed longer bolts to attach.

He thought it was either the wrong spare, or that I should have some longer bolts somewhere.

So here's the question...where do I get wheel bolts that will fit my spare? Found some 32mm thread ones on ebay for a couple of quid - will they do? Otherwise it'll be a question of going to a scrapyard and getting a punto tyre and carrying that around instead.

Thanks! Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks very much, that makes a lot of sense. I don't know any other punto owners that live near enough/have alloys on their punto to do a swap unfortunately. Would it be safe just to buy four alloy bolts and drive the car with 3 normal tyres and one alloy spare til I got to a garage?

And any idea what size an alloy bolt is?!
