I've got a MK1 M reg punto, but inside it's just horrible.

I want basic tips to input a bit of style in it. Bare in mind im a girl so i don't want any extravagent hi tec boy racer equipment, but just enough to make it feel and look comfortable.

I need some seat covers but they need to be customed as mine is a 3 door model. Ive aready got ones that aren't customed but they look really poor.

I'd like to rip off that material bit on the side panel on the inside of the door. Is this possible can it be replace or upholstered.

Anything to brighten up the dash board either with special durable paints for the occassion or another suggestions as it looks like a lump of rubber

Are things like gear surrounds, gaiters, pedels and gear knob simple enough to install yourself following the instructions

Would like info on where to go (shops/web/mail)inc bargin places. Would welcome any hints or tips as i need all the help i can get.

Hey There, I know what you mean. When I first got my Mk1 Punto it was like sitting in a tin. Ok here goes.

Gear knob and gaitor - Very easy to replace. To get the old gearknob off just yank it upwards after unscrewing the base. If this doesn't work get a bloke to pull it off.

If you want some colour In your car then colour code the vents to start. All you do is pop them out with a screwdiver remove the flaps so your left with basicly just the shell. Prime it, then give it a couple of coats of your chosen colour, probably red, and then about 2 - coats of laquer. This stop it gettin scratched.

You front doors can be coverd with bass box carpet. Talk to dawn_of_time to get info on how to do that. I think you just use fabric glue (spray stuff,) Quite simple i think.

Pedals are easy - Just peull off plastic covers then line up the holes on your new pedals, drill, then bolt them on. Make sure you have at least a 50 mm gap between each pedal or an MOT failure is in the pipes.

Not sure about seat covers. Just buy bucket seats :p

Replace the window winders with metal ones if you haven't got electric windows. Just follow the instructions in the box.

With the rear panels I've got 6x9's in them. If you want details or pics of how this was done just let me know.

Hope thats of some help.
