Technical Central locking Help!!!

well there is a space in the black plastic it goes along then goes up but underneath is where going to put the motor and with some fidlley work should be able to clamp it on at the top lol :D

hope this works out lol i was going to try and fit it to my boot aswell lol as ive got another two extra motors lol but ill be happy just with the two doors working lol

nah gave up hours ago lol :p
got far too cold and gettin dark so ill have a bash at it 2morow lol
hopefully get it sorted :D dont know what exactly ive been doing wrong as everyone else seems to fit theirs ok lol

Absolute rubbish lol

tried for the final time there and no luck was actually getting round the black plastic bit and for a second i thought i was going to do it .. but no

ontop of the black plastic problem the rubber sleeve/connection that runs the audio cables from the speaker in the door through to behind the dash is sealed off like a round plastic dome with only space for single wires.

in this case the cables/wires for my kit is all in the one and therefore no chance in hell going to fit through lol (n)

so now gave up, put the door cards back on and now selling the kit on eBay.
:D

Rightclick universal remote central locking kit for sale - pm if interested *
converts cars without central locking to remote central locking. all fittings and two remotes included. two master and two slave dooor motors.

:( you can get the wires through.......but why dont you get a local sparky to fit motors for you? Leave door cards off & your probably oly looking at a few hours labour...to save more money just get them to run wires inside the car & you can do the rest to save more time/money;)

aww duno lol (n)

at this moment in time jst really fed up with the kit, knew it wasnt going to be easy but thought it would be possible.

if i do get someone else to fit it though how much would i looking at paying?

also is there no way to get the central locking for a 2000 W reg punto from the scrappy and fit it in mine ..

Hi,
I got a central locking kit for my standard 2001 punto, no central locking/electric windows

Just installed one of the locking things on the drivers door hope this helps, I just need to secure the solinoid thing more maybe a few cable ties to stop it moving

Anyone got a guide on howto put the cables through the door, im thinking just drill a hole in the terminal plug as im cheap and cant be bothered to buy some of those pins :)

Looking gd m8 :eek::D
where i was trying to fit it was never gona be possible i think lol
does it seem secure enough and no any problems with the window coming down ? looking at your pics looks like should be ok as window is kind of curves aswell lol :p

thnks alot btw for posting up the pics (y) least i know its very posssible to fit it .. must let me know how you get on with getting wiring through lol :D

is it also a remote central locking your tryin to fit same as me ?

Yes it clears the windows

I just need to make sure its abit more secure as it does slide a little along the metal bar thing, i tried putting in the other screw there but still does it a little so gonna use some cable ties.

So far ive only done the drivers side, if u take out the plastic where the cables go they are just terminal pins, ive cut the 4 cabels and drilled out the centre and ive gotta connect up the front speakers again, then it should be perfect.

I'll remove the metal rod in a minute and take a picture so you know how to bend it ... ive gotta bend it for the passenger door too.

And yes its remote central locking i put the cables in temp using the radio power and it works nicely :) i just hope it works once i put the doorcards back on

aww coming along nicely by the sounds of it :D

yeh tht would be gd .. (y)
how is your connecting the speaker cables again ?
have you drilled out all of the platic terminal or just for the new cables to get through

but by sounds of it youll be finished it in no time lol and put me to shame lol:D attempted mines with my dad that w.e and didnt get very far lol

Well, IVE FINISHED!

Just need to wire up the power properly

Scrap my first photos it didnt work after i put the doorcard on... but this one works :D

Ill just wack it all in a pdf and ill post it in abit :D

Took me like 6hrs today figuring it out and implementing it .... so should take 3-4hrs once u see how it should be done .. thats a 2 door install and yes it is remote central locking kit

PDF Guide Attached

Mine is now 100% complete, used a power cable from the radio.

I've been getting a flat battery recently since i put a new radio in, just found out by wiring this up that the 2 wires are BOTH constant power, so guess ill have to take the power from my cig lighter upto my radio so the radio will go off when ignigtion goes off, ill tackle that another day .... work tomorrow and driving test on wednesday (my 5th, they hate 19yr old males, 30MPH in a 30MPH is one of my major fails with 5 minors)

ABSOLUTE LEGEND lol !!:D
gd to know sumone knew what they were doing lol
ive deff got to try and gets mines done aswell (y)

you should deff post this in the guides section *

only thing i was wondering about is the speaker cables though once you cut them out tht plastic bit how did you reconnect them?

is it like the speaker cables already came up to the back of tht plastic connector and then on the other side were connected in by the pins?

lol sorryto be asking questions after just gave me a really great guide on how to do mine lol but just want to make sure i know everything before i tackle it myself :D

Mine had cables like ....

Black - Blackwhite - Pink - Pinkwhite

all i did was join .....

Black - Pink

Blackwhite - Pinkwhite

or you could do ... Black Pinkwhite and Blackwhite Pin, but it wont work if you do Black-Blackwhite

they are just standard speaker wires, just split differently, i just twisted the wires together and heatshrunk them together, not that good but works

Ill post it in guides when i can be bothered to make the guide better :) tired having cut up all my hands on those bloody doors lol

ohright :D

ill deff have to go out and try get mines fitted
well done on getting it all done anyway lol now you just have to wire it into the fusebox which after what youve done already should be a bit easier lol

youll have to let me know how you get on (y):D
and looking forward to finally seeing someone make a mk2 central locking guide :)

ahhh im not wiring it to the fuse box lol, and if your thinking of wiring yours to the fuse box make sure you put the long cables to the passenger side as i done mine so the littlebox is near the centre so i could use the radio power

radio power works great :)

fiat wired both radio power cables to the battery so gotta take the power from the cig lighter to get ignigtion
