Hey all,

New to this forum as i've just had an M.O.T on my car and seeing that so many things went wrong. I feel it's time to start learning more about Fiat Puntos!

I got the airbag slipring replaced and needed a new steering column to fix my steering and my horn. Not sure what else that entails but when i left the garage i seemed to have lost my power steering.

It's VERY heavy, and pretty stiff to move. My mate suggested my power steering fluid...but i can't find where that is.

Is there any quick fixes for this? Or is it a day back at the garage?

Any help appreciated peeps ^^

Hi mate and WELCOME TO THE FORUM. First things forst, what engine have you got and what year mk1/mk2 etc. If its a Mk2 it wont need power steering fluid as it has electronic power steering.

Cheers,
Alan

1.2 and i'm not 100% how to check whether it's mk1 or mk2.

Apologies, i've been lazy when it comes to all things related to my car! :D

Don't seem to have that on the car, s60 i quoted from my DVLA sheet but when i went out to check for that fluid cap i noticed it's s55 on the back. Don't know if that makes any difference or not.

Apologies for my lack of knowledge on my on car here haha, i'm just a poor wee student!

Didn't have what you pictured there, btw.

I'm almost 100% sure i had power steering before i went to garage, steering was always light and always re-alligned itself after corners etc.

The way it is now, it's stiff slow and at 70.

Edit: Got date from DVLA sheet too.
