Hello,

Does anyone have the pollen filter in their Punto? It was installed in Punto's with A/C. If so does it seem to work? When you change it do you see pollen trapped in there? I'm asking because my kids have allergies and although I don't have a filter in my SX model I was considering fitting one in there. It seems to be possible as the spot where you slide the filter in is there-it's just blocked off. The dealer told me I have to order a frame piece and the actual filter. It's pricey so I wanted to know if it was worth my while.
Thanks!
Tom

i dont think you will see pollen on there since its microscopic, :D but they do get quite dirty.
as for this frame, ever punto pollen filter ive been given too fit has come with a plastic frame.

Hi,

I think they do work, but remember unless you can keep the windows shut then it won't help. If you don't have air con, it could get quite warm in the car over summer which means open windows.

I think that's why they don't fit them to cars without air con.

yes, I suppose you are right about the windows. However here in Warsaw, and all over Poland we've got buses and trucks that are in such poor technical condition that they spew diesel particulates right in your face and in that case it would be good to shut the windows and have some of that crap filtered out.
As for the filter, it's good to know you can get the filter/frame together. the parts guy at the dealer showed me the filter and it was indeed useless as it didn't have a frame around it. I'll see if I can't get a complete assembly.
Thanks guys!
