My brothers Mito had this same problem, but turned out it was a sticky coil spring seat that was jolting when turning the wheel. When it was lubricated it went away for a while. Could possibly be the same issue?

Edit: it was a worn strut bearing plate.

Cheers just sprayed them with some wd40 to see if the noise was alleviated for a bit but was still there. Any ideas to what else it could be??

Lots of possibilities..

Strut bearings are still the favourite ;)

If its a NEW noise..
Spend the next few trips seeing when it occurs..and if it changes tone in certain situations..

My gp made LOTS of creaks yesterday
(Bought in Dec. And parked up for last few days.. warmest conditions Ive known it in)

That seemed to be when body moved up and down.. changes of road surface.. whike in a straight line

Is yours JUST turning..?

Let us know in a couple of days

Aha bought mine in August but didn't drive it much then as i was a learner but the heat brings a whole new set of conditions for the car but I've drove it a few times today and is just when steering.

SOLVED:Front spring has snapped at the bottom.

Oh..
Never happened to me.. but common enough failure.

Ok .. so its decision time

While you have it apart to replace the spring

You will remove-unbolt :

Top strut bearing.. commonly rust and make noise

Strut itself.. if the paint is rusty.. its probably old enough to want changing..
(Leaking is an MOT fail..)

Neither of these add time to your spring replacement.. they all come off together

BUT . You want to replace BOTH SIDES

- 'as a pair'

Seeing as how youve just spent on a poorly fitted clutch job..and subsequent exhaust failure :(

You will have to figure out where to draw the line

Hi mate exhaust is fine you are probs getting me confused with someone else who commented on my other pist but yes i have been spending a lot to fix it up atm. Garage have quoted 90 quid for it but probably me and my dad will put in some labour to do it as the parts are cheap enough.

Paid the garage to do it in the end also realligned my wheels which was good and they cleaned and reoiled my top mounts. My word the car drives smooth now. Not been driving much so watching it on the drive as the springs slowly settle [emoji23]
