Ok so fitted these Mtec DRLs but you can hardly see they are on. So whats the point of even having them if you can't see them?

Weird… mine seem fine , their fairly bright when compared to the standard bulbs, they don’t however give of a beam of light or anything but I would say they are noticeable.
I just really like the “real” blue light they emit.

I wouldnt use my DRL's as a headlight, but i can see them reflecting on the car infront during the day - so there very visable.

my sidelights however cant be seen unless pitch black & looking directly at them lol, headlights vaporise though :) - Still want to do fog lights but dont wanna take the grill off n stuff!

Why not just unplug the stupid things and be done with it?

Who the hell needs to drive around in the daytime with lights blazing away?? (Apart from pushy Audi idiots obviously...)

And as for blue lights....:bang:

Or you could turn them off...

Anyway, DRL's look brilliant - but the "budget" yellow lightbulb look doesnt, the blue/white look however makes it look much classier ;)

Been reading sooooo many thread leaning towards Philips X-Treme Power, But still considering Osram Night Breakers...
More interested in a white beam than blue from Blue Vision, MTEC etc decisions... decisions! Thoughts/Opinions?

I'm happy with my X-Treme Powers.

Gota put the lights on -1 though, I found on 0 i get flashed on fairly regularly.
But certainly on country lanes at night, put it on 0, full beam, watch the bushes burst into flames.

Or on the motorway at 3am when no-one else is about, full beam & you can pretty much light up Manchester to Bristol. (had to try it!)

Is it a more White beam or still yellow in H4? they seem to get the better reviews/ratings but more people have the night breakers. What's the setup you have blank? I was thinking of Either Cosmos Blue or Super White MTEC DRLs with X-Treme Power and from autobulbs using te Philips premium sides that's come free?

I had the Philips X-Treme Powers in my last car whereas I put Nightbreakers in the wife’s. From what I remember the Philips gave the slightly better colour of light but the Nightbreaker was the slightly more powerful . (In my opinion anyway)
Just don’t go for osram “cool blue” sidelights as they are not up to much.(n)

There on order! Ordered:-
Headlights: Philips X-Treme Power
Sidelights: Philips Premium W5W Sidelight Bulbs (Free with X-Treme Power from powerbulbs.com)
Indicators: Philips Silver Vision
DRLs: MTEC 380W T20 Super White

Not sure as to what exactly the sidelights are but there free! If there not up to much I`ll replace, Decided not to get Blue Vision sidelights as per MrBoney advice :)

DRLs arrived today, Christ there big!!?

Yup!

fooking massive things, i was expecting some little fairy light lol.

I've got MTEC Sidelights & DRL.
and Philips Xtreme Power headlight (Which came with some "Free" Sidelights)

tbh the Free sidelight bulbs suite the headlights, but i went for the mtec sidelights because of there very blue borderline illegal look, but there so dim they could easily be mistaken for a firefly with colourblindness, tempted to change the sidelights back to the sidelights as they matched the headlight.

What sidelights come free? Found the other delivery the left them in the bin but only just seen the card! PowerBulbs ship a set of Philips Premium sidelights which I'm tempted to order some other as can't find much feedback on them and they give a 3 out of 5 star rating on it's packaging!? I'm guessing it refers to light emitted as I see the X-Treme get a 5out of 5. Been advised by MrBoney to avoid Blue Vision though!

Turned my Day Running Lights off until i can find some good bulbs to replace them with!

Any suggestions other than MTEC T20 Bulbs?

Just fitted some Bosch Plus 90's H4 headlight bulbs an they are a massive improvement but think I might upgrade again to the nightbreaker plus!!.

Thanks Nathan! Il have a look, the warning light doesn't bother me as such just I'd like it to stay off so I know when I do actually have a bulb issue lol.. I wonder if I could get some resistors for them?
