According to the Fiat Stilo 3 Door brochure I picked up from my Fiat Dealer on the day of sale last month, the Stilo Abarth comes with the following:-

STANDARD: Connect + Sat Nav with 7" screen, Cruise Control, Parking Sensors, Rain Sensor, Dusk Sensor etc etc.

You can imagine then my annoyance when I picked up my car only to find that it hasn't got any of them ?

MISSING: Connect + Sat Nav with 7" screen, Cruise Control, Parking Sensors, Rain Sensor, Dusk Sensor etc etc.

I paid £14.775 for a Fiat Stilo Abarth which is missing all of them!

QUESTION: Do you think Fiat's Spec Brouchures Are Misleading ??

I voted yes - I wish I had looked on here and got advice from other people with same car before ordering mine; options and specs may have changed coz of misleading brochures/price guides.
As for your above problem, see my comments about that on other thread of the same name!!!

it says at the end of the brochure that specs are subject to change

Met Cognac 99 Brava 100 HSX,

As Colm says, they put it in the smallprint that they can make changes to specifications from time to time.

This can either work in your favour, ie: when they add more equipment to try and out do a rival, or, on the other hand against you if they start a penny pinching campaign, so it's swings and roundabouts really!

FIAT Stilo Sport. Pretty Much Bog Standard Really. Rear Roof Spoiler,
Sill Protectors, Aluminium Foot Pedals, Eibach 30mm Drop Springs.

It's a massive loss of equipment however!

Many might be swayed to buying a car on sat nav and connect + and also cruise control. Others a bit gadgety and unlikely to sway much but they are huge parts! Also, I guess the sat nav and connect are over £1k to have added? Therefore having them taken away is a serious change which you should have been made aware of!

Of course they are allowed to take away small things, add small things, but anythng large, be it morally or maybe legally, they should surely make you aware?!

Its not a loss of anything! A stilo abarth with manual box has never had those items, only the selespeed does, hence the enormous price difference between the two models! I have explained this but to no avail!

1987 126 FSM, 12" minilight style wheels, clear rear lights, smoked indicators.
2004 Panda Eleganza.... nice!

I know you have, nuovopanda, but when the originator of this thread posted this subject about 5 times on different forums, any comments have kinda got lost everywhere!

Oh well, looks like Paul247 should have been more careful!

But I also thought it was argued that infact this wasn't explained in the brochure....?

I really don't know what i am talking about but "as is", Fiat have been cruel and unfair.

The 02 Stilo Abarth has all of these (Connect Nav + with 7" screen, Cruise Control, Parking Sensors, Rain Sensor, Dusk Sensor ) but the spec was changed in Feb 04, so now there are 2 Stilo Abarths. The Manual does not have any of them but the Selespeed does. However if you read the brochure available direct from Fiat it states that Connect Nav + with 7" screen, Cruise Control, Parking Sensors, Rain Sensor, Dusk Sensor are standard on the ABARTH it does not say SELESPEED ABARTH. So it is indeed misleading.

I paid £14,775 for a Stilo abarth and the following items are missing: Connect + Sat Nav with 7" screen, Parking Sensors, Rain Sensor, Dusk Sensor etc.

Furthermore the 2004 brochure came out in late Feb 04 but was not in the showroom yet, I purchased my car in early March 04 and picked up the only brochure available which stated Connect Nav + with 7" screen, Cruise Control, Parking Sensors, Rain Sensor, Dusk Sensor are standard on the ABARTH. Not the SELESPEED ABARTH. It's as simple as that.
