When I first read Peters post I thought "Thats a bit harsh" then I remembered Achmed the dead terrorist and had a little chuckle to myself (I know, I should get out more ), but anyone not having seen this character in full flow could get a little worried by the 'threat', especially coming from a moderator.
As I've posted before, with the moderator status comes responsibility, as they have the power to modify, delete others posts and even ban, so they have to be careful what they post and avoid contencious replies.

or you could think because they are a moderator then there must be a joke in there some where as a mod would not be seriously posting threats to kill.

I am guessing from the context that it was originally designed to show that people who are in relationship still do the whole car thing, its not just a single persons game! Thats my guess!
