Front mount or better cored standard fit?

Front mount...

+ Bigger surface area to allow improved cooling (allegedly).
+ Somewhere better than behind the headlight to put the air filter.

- Distance from the turbo to the inlet increases causing lag.
- Weight.
- Looks naff.
- Cost (no cheap eBay jobbies here)

Standard fitment with a better core.

+ Cheaper (not cheap)
+ No cosmetic alteration required (stealth).
+ Weight.
+ No cutting stuff.
+ Standard distance from turbo to inlet so less lag.

- Behind the radiator so still an inter-heater rather than intercooler.
- Air filter location.
- More difficult to get to if a pipe gets blown off or other issue.

I'm considering these options...

Front mount kit by reputable company.

Standard fit with a decent core Integralle spec'.

I've asked both listed suppliers if they know the flow rate deterioration (boost loss due to core friction) of their intercoolers as that is more of a factor and I'll let you know what they say. ;)
