Update - Car runs well! The flat spot seems to be resolved too so all in all very pleased. Thanks for all inputs!
Now to have a look at the rear brakes....Not today though

No visible cam sensor? But I just remembered that on my boy's 1.4 (which is VVT) the sensor is on the other end of the cam cover - if my memory serves correct? Your's certainly looks like a 69hp to me.

Pleased for you that it seems to be running well now - good luck with the brakes. If they are the same as mine just be a bit careful with the small diameter pin on the bottom of the caliper. If it's jammed you can break the casting if you get too enthusiastic.
