Hi, I've got a very strange problem with my 2006 1.2 panda. Somehow Fuse 41 keeps popping out when I put the gear in reverse. The manual says Fuse F41 is for the door mirrors defrosters, but our car doesn't have this option, but instead the interior fan (blower) stops working . When replacing the fuse everything works fine, including the blower on all positions, until I'll put the gear in reverse and immediately there is a short circuit on fuse 41.

This problem occurs ever since the rear breaks are replaced during the annual maintenance.

I suggest you take it back to the garage that did the service and tell them. I'd guess they have damaged the wiring to the reversing light or sensors (if fitted).
If you want to look yourself start with the reversing light and it's wiring. Looking at Multiecuscan it appears that the reversing light is not switched by the body computer (not on actuator list) so is probably switched directly by the switch on the gearbox.

Does the fuse blow when you put it in reverse without the blower running?
Otherwise it might be the blowermotor already taking a heavy load (using up a lot of amps) and the reverselights taking the fuse over the edge.

Herewith my findings:
1. With a new fuse the blower works fine.
2. The reverse lights do not work (Although I do not know if this is due to the broken fuse because it breaks immediately when the gear is put in reverse)
3. There is no difference when the blower is turned off. (the fuse F41 breaks when the gear is put in reverse)
4. When put in reverse the headlights went out for a few seconds.

It looks like there is a weird problem with some reverse gear-electronics?

Hi,
As I said previously, check the reverse light wiring for damage and short circuits to chassis. This was probably caused during the work on the brakes so talk to the garage that did the work.

Partly solved! And Robert, you were right! The garage fitted an earth-wire from the light-unit to the chassis. Don't know why. It's to them to solve it now.
Tnx!
